1 hour flight

Highlight: Gradually going from the city at 2,150 metres to the park entrance, at about 4,500 metres
In a small van, depart from Manizales and head toward the national park. On the way, stop for a late breakfast. When the passengers who are doing the day trip head back to town, keep trekking with your guide, and camp at about 4,000 metres (13,100 ft)

Highlight: The other-wordly flora of the paramo ecosystem, which only exists between 3800-5000 meters in locations near the equator
During this 5 hour trek, the change in ecosystems is very dramatic! From deadlands of volcanic ash to fields of frailejones and unusual flowers, this trek is quite unique.

Highlight: Descending down a volcanic rock with a beautiful mountain view
Take a two hour trek from the small Andean village, up the mountain until you arrive to this rappelling site, from which you can see the town below.

Highlight: Arriving at a secluded coffee plantation on horseback.
Spend 3 hours on horseback, an hour exploring a coffee planation, and 3 hours relaxing at a finca where you can enjoy some of Colombia's finest coffee and learn how it's made.
